Just as I'm regretting not being able to find a tool that allows me to visualize the development process and work for my new company, a new tool launches, almost as if someone read my mind. SmartQ is a web-based "project Visual board" by 5 p.m., web-based project management tool manufacturers.
SmartQ is based on Kanban, a lean production process, I've never met before. According to Wikipedia, kanban is "" a planning system that tells you what to produce, when to produce, and how much to produce. "" The system was developed by Toyota. Using kanban cards (signs on a plank), you can indicate what parts of the production at what stages and what resources or supplies are necessary or are in use. Efficient production can be achieved in knowing how cards - or tickets - are necessary in a process to produce something and keeping an eye on the transfer from the accumulation of these cards to production.
"When you start using SmartQ, you start a new project and start new"tickets"(i.e. the kanban cards) that you can assign members to the entire team with a due date and status or stage each ticket, as the"subject"," assigned to "work started," "completed" or "approved."
Using the "Commission View", you can see your tickets begin to draw to the screen in the sequence. You can also easily drag and drop each ticket box to rearrange.
I was immediately happy to see that I normally created as a list written in a much more visual layout.
This as a difference to see tasks (or "tickets") arranged in status can do! Of course, if you still want to see a list, there is also a "" list view: ""
Under "Settings", you can manage members of the team and their admin and roles of project controls. You can also design and modify your process workflow by changing or adding default workflow steps (assigned subject, work started, completed or approved). You can even design your ticket form to include more features or have input fields in different positions.
When you create a new ticket, you can enter a name ticket, description, the scene, it is in, when it is required by, assigned to, and you can choose to send via e-mail to everyone concerned with the ticket. There is a space to add comments, and you can attach files to each ticket required.
When I first started in the application, I am baffled by the way I could see the tickets that I created, but I couldn't see that I had posted the ticket or the date limit if I asked the company why is perhaps, and a representative replied:
You would care to see who has created the ticket because you create now. In the systems we use, they are considered on the side of the workers. They must see the applicant. And required date was rarely used in the scenarios, we have seen so far, the Board being fluid - tickets move when they can, and managers are alerted when too much to get accumulated in one stage or another.
Dating back to the notion of kanban, the SmartQ tickets are placed in certain compartments ("subject", "affected", "work started," "completed" or "approved" by default). In a blow of eye, managers can see where he might be a bottleneck in the workflow and address areas to keep the process runs smoothly. I've always been so attached to times, and still SmartQ and the concept of kanban challenges my own ideas on the workflow. SmartQ provides a new way to visualize and work environment projects and tasks. I look forward out system with my team members more than to see how it works with people, projects and tickets added to the combination of tests.
How you display - and management - your workflow?
